About Dr Aileen Liu

Dr Aileen Liu was born in New York and came to Australia’s sunny shores in the 1980’s.  She obtained her fellowship to the RACGP in 2000.  She has been working at the Cooper Street Clinic since 2003.  Dr Liu’s approach to health has always been a wholistic one and she has felt very privileged to work in general practice.  

Professionally she is a QA Examiner for the RACGP, a senior examiner for the Australian Medical Council, and she is affiliated with the Royal Hospital for Women to provide antenatal shared care.  She also has a graduate diploma in paediatrics from the UNSW.

Dr Liu is a lifetime member of the Australian Chinese Medical Association and is passionate about promoting the health of minority populations.

When she is not working at Cooper Street she is busy juggling her two boys and her husband, running the City-2-Surf and raising awareness for autism as she has an affected child.  

Dr Liu speaks fluent Mandarin.

Dr Liu is currently not taking new patients.
